The program publicizes its student performance and achievement information on the Industrial Technology, BSIT program webpage to help the public understand the success of the program.

The Industrial Technology (BSIT) program is housed in the Engineering Technology Department within the School of Education and Applied Professions at SUNY Buffalo State University.

The section provides public information on graduation rates, retention, GPA, time to degree, scholarships, tuition expenses, and career placement, as required by ATMAE Standard 12.

All data comply with FERPA and Buffalo State’s policy on public disclosure. The information is verified annually by the Program Director and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and updated every academic year on the department website

Retention and graduation rates for the Industrial Technology program are collected each academic year and compared with institutional averages reported by Buffalo State University’s Office of Institutional Research.

The Career and Professional Education (CAPE) Center at Buffalo State partners with academic departments to provide career advising, résumé workshops, and employer networking events.

Recent CAPE data indicate that approximately 90–92% of Industrial Technology graduates secure employment or enter graduate programs within six months of graduation.

National labor market data also demonstrate strong demand for Industrial Technology graduates.

CAPE piloted data collection for the First Destination Survey (FDS), surveying graduates from 2024-2025. Recent data from FSA for graduates in Engineering Technology fields (including Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Technology) demonstrates a high success rate in securing relevant professional roles.

Primary Status After Graduation: The majority of graduates reported being employed full-time (averaging 30 hours or more per week), while some chose to continue their education in baccalaureate programs.

Job Titles and Employing Organizations: Graduates have secured positions such as Quality Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, DAS/Application Engineer, and Electrical Engineer.

Key Employers: Recent hires have been reported at organizations including Boeing Encore Interiors, API Heat Transfer, Magtrol, Inc., Linde Inc., and TxRx Systems Inc.

Salary Information: For those employed full-time, reported annual base salaries range from $60,000 to $75,700
