Maryam Nasri is an Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering at SUNY Buffalo State University. She previously held the position of Associate Professor at SUNY Alfred State College of Technology, where she taught various electrical engineering courses for over seven years. Dr. Nasri was actively involved in implementing autonomous control robot projects.

She earned her Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Simon Fraser University in Surrey, BC, Canada, and her master's degree in software engineering from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC, Canada. In addition to her academic background, she has over a decade of industry experience, including working at high-tech companies such as IBM Canada, where she served as an Application Developer.

Maryam's areas of specialization include the control and coordination of power electronic converters in distribution systems such as microgrids. She dedicated three years to this area as a Research Scholar at the University of South Carolina until 2016. Maryam's current research interests include the application of AI and Robotics in enhancing energy efficiency in smart power systems. An IEEE Senior Member, Dr. Nasri is devoted to advancing the field of electrical engineering through continuous research endeavors and a strong commitment to furthering education in the discipline.
